In The Father's Care

By: Blanche Musachia

Recently, I was faced with a crises in my home.
Feeling powerless, I turned all my thoughts toward the Lord. I'm sure
other parents have felt this helplessness and hope these words may give
them comfort.

With folded hands I sit, slowly rocking in my chair. All is quiet in the
Father's care. I lift my eyes toward the heaven only to have them meet
the ceiling. Yet, I know you are here; there are no boundaries between
us. Words gush fourth, repetitious words, a plea for help. One that you
have given me Oh! Lord, is in pain.
His soul is bruised and his heart aches. He feels rejected and unloved.
Would that I might take his burden upon my heart but, this I cannot do.
I'm but a mother, powerless to some degree
for he is no longer a little one. He is now a man
I watch him breathing, heavy breathing, labored breathing, for he has
taken an abundance of medication to ease his hurt. With folded hands, I
pray, slowly rocking in my chair. All is quiet in the Father's care.
Oh! Lord, I cry, my heart too
is in despair. He is part of me. Lord! in your mercy, I plead, encamp
an army of angels around him, Protect him. Let your healing words
be heard it the twilight of his sleep. Cast out the
spirits of torment into the sea's depths, never to surface again. I pray
for renewal. I pray for my son. Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer
With folded hands I sit, slowly rocking in my chair. All is well in
the father's care.

REQUEST:

From:	bubbanna@alltel.net

Our friend, Johnny R. has cancer and needs the Lord. Please pray for him.
We have shared the gospel with him often and he acknowledged his need
for the Savior. He has moved away and we can't go see him at this time.
He has a heart of gold when it comes to helping others and doing for
others. Thank you for praying for him.

I just had to share this praise of our Lord. Our only grandson, three
years old, was bitten by a copperhead at his daycare school last
Friday. He came home from the hospital Sunday afternoon. There is
absolutely no evidence of the bite. His little foot and leg are back
to normal and he is his usual little grown-up self. God has
miraculously healed our baby.
Our daughter shared a little story about him today. She and our
little grandson pulled into the Walmart parking lot yesterday
afternoon. After she parked their car, he immediately began praying.
This in essence was his prayer, " God, bless you and thank you for our
parking space. Amen." Isn't that awesome!
HE is truly a wonderful Savior.

I have a co-worker who just lost his only child in a car accident.
Please pray for the family of Justin Phillips - Thank you very much.

Thought For The Day:

The teacher asked the pupils to tell the meaning of loving-kindness.
A little boy jumped up and said, "Well, if I was hungry and someone
gave me a piece of bread that would be kindness. But if they put a
little jam on it, that would be loving-kindness."

Verse for the Day:

"Bless the Lord, O my soul...who crowneth thee with lovingkindness
and tender mercies; who satisfieth thy mouth with good things..."
Psalm 103: 1,4,5

Kid's Thought For The Day:

"When you've just caught the football, the tackle doesn't hurt as much."

Parent's Thought For The Day

"Never lend your car to anyone to whome you have given birth."
(Erma Bombeck)

Coach's Thought For The Day

When asked about which team is the toughest team in the league, he
responded with an answer all players must comprehend. He said simply
that it was, The team you are playing."
(Roy Campanella)

Deep Thought For The Day:

"In dog years, I'm dead."

"I thought of you first after my family sat down to watch the video
we gave them. They loved it, to say the least! Within thirty
seconds my mom was crying and my dad did too. They said it was
the best Christmas gift we could have given them!! You did such
a beautiful job! They were so suprised and so touched---they
really, really, really loved it. Thanks for helping to make it so
special to us all. My mom mentioned how the songs were perfect for
the video too! Thanks again!"
