TAPESTRY

By: Mary-Ellen Grisham

Weaving tiny pictures and strands of sunlight gold,
The hand of love may capture the perfect gifts of God
Images of memory in crimson, blue, and green
Emblems of the heart in every woven scene.

From infancy, the face of mama with eyes of shining blue
The hands and arms of daddy holding me with love so true
From youngster days, the maypole with ribbons in the air
Blonde children laughing, singing without a worldly care.

From childhood, pals and buddies and nightime's happy games
Hide n'seek and statutes, shadow tag and guessing names,
Fireflies and moonlight, leaves dancing on the breeze
Shadow light and secrets, fairies hiding in the trees.

The girlhood days of ruffled dresses and soft and shining hair
The special boys and loved ones require a special care
Beginning dreams and wishes, hopes and plans all very new
Of a life with love forever, or at least for one that's true.

Challenges and heartbreaks-- life's not always what it seems
The teen age years bring troubles, tasks, and lengthening schemes.
Yet the scarlet rose unfolding brings a hope for later days
The Cross an emblem precious in growing woman ways.

Books, and words, and pencils--a teacher's tools of trade
Guidance for children whose also dreams are made.
Hours of studious labor, nights of work and endless care
Make a person worthy of a worthy love to share.

Bride and mother, a precious son--a yellow rose for him,
A family with a host of hearts for all of us to win
Summer's days, and winter eves, a round of years to keep
A life to live with kindly care for what we sow and reap.

And all the years together bring other loves along the way
Brothers, fathers, sons--all men--a kind of kin I say,
The yellow rose for sunlight, the scarlet blush for deepest love,
Emblems all together for a life blessed by God above.

At last, with memory's guidance back through the circling years
I gather up a harvest of life's treasures with happy, golden tears:
A handiwork woven with Love through the heart and mind of God
A gift returned to Him, a tapestry of patterns for all the precious years.

REQUESTS:

From:	Iluvjc2000 (Sharon)

Michael,
I would like for you to pass this request on. On the 13th my
husband Rusty is to have a CT Scan and a Carotid Doppler. He has been
having headaches and his eyes have blurring and he has the sensation
of his eyes crossing. Also our daughter, Charlotte has been having
pain in her stomach and the Dr. wants to do a scope on her on the
17th. She has a long history of stomach and intestinal problems.
Please pray for them both. I try not to worry and let God have these
things, But I am only human. Also I do not have any news to report on
Sarah Russell and her baby. I just have not been able to find out
anything on her lately. hope I can find something out soon and I will
pass it along. Sorry about the wait.
God Bless you all,
Sharon

"I thought of you first after my family sat down to watch the video
we gave them. They loved it, to say the least! Within thirty
seconds my mom was crying and my dad did too. They said it was
the best Christmas gift we could have given them!! You did such
a beautiful job! They were so suprised and so touched---they
really, really, really loved it. Thanks for helping to make it so
special to us all. My mom mentioned how the songs were perfect for
the video too! Thanks again!"
