The Spring of our love began like so many things new...
An as this season began there was me and you.

And when we exchanged our vows before God above...
I knew deep in my heart you would be my only love.

And even as the small flowers struggle to grow...
So it was the same for us - you remember I know...

...Working so hard until the day was gone.
Together we turned our house into a home...

... Time seems to pass so quickly - gone it seems without number...
... And one day we found ourselves in Summer.

... And it brought us times of Laughter, Joy,
Even some sadness and tears...

...and before it seems we were ready it passed in a few years...

...But it made me realize with all the things we have been through...
...All the years we have shared together in sickness and in health...

... Having you to share my life with has been my greatest wealth.

...The years passed by so quickly - and before we realized it we had entered fall.
...And have had to endure some of the hardest trails of all...

...And with some of them when didn’t think I could go on...
...You were my strength. Your love my comfort.
...Because of you I did not have to face them alone...

...To soon our hair has been touched with winters early grey...
...And now each day with you means more to me than simple words could ever say...

...But before winters “Final Chill” closes in...
...I wanted you to know that I love you and would gladly share my life and the
seasons of our love with you all over again.

David Holbrooks was born and raised in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina.  He now resides in Ringgold, Georgia. He is married , has 4 step-children ( one deceased ), and 7 grandchildren that he loves to spoil. He is a security supervisor for a large corporation and plays rythm guitar. He writes what God gives him from a heart of love for his friends and family. Seasons of Our Love was written for his Aunt and Uncle for their 51 wedding aniversary.
