Friendship

Before we get to today's mail I wanted to wish my beautiful
bride Kristi a very happy Sweetest Day!
For those of you who didn't know it was Sweetest Day, you know
now....and you have no excuse! You have all day to do something
nice for your sweetie, or buy them something special. Or better
yet, sit down and take a few moments to put into words how you feel
about them. Nothing is better than a handwritten note expressing your
love to someone else. It is something they will read over an over in
the future.......
Michael

On to today's mail!

After I introduced my sister, Christina Miller, to everyone a couple of
weeks ago, I asked her if she would share some more of her writing with us.
From time to time I will be passing them along to everyone......
This particular song, "Friendship," was written by Christina and her husband
Jeff for my wife Kristi when she turned the Big 3-0, three years ago. I threw a
surprise party for my wife at the Olive Garden Restaurant where we had a good time
with friends and family. The song was written for Kristi during a time that she
was going through a rough point in her life, and Christina wrote it to not only
tell her how they felt about her, but to also let my wife know they were there for her.
So picture this.... About thirty people are at the restaurant for Kristi to help
her celebrate her birthday, when Jeff pulls out his guitar, and Christina starts
singing this song to my wife..... (We got permission to play and sing in the
restaurant before hand, as it is not the usual thing you would see while you
went out to eat dinner! They enthusiastically granted us permission, so we
encourage you to go eat at the Olive Garden in Janesville, WI. They are pretty cool!)

                        Friendship Song

Here's a song of a person I cherish in this life
Her smile is made of candied kisses
Her eyes are full of light
The path that she has walked upon has been both hard and long
But through the grace of Jesus Christ
Her heart still sings His song......

I say I love you
From my heart to yours
I say I'll pray for you
To help you through the storms
I say I will be there
When you're feeling down
Cause I remember all the times you were with me on that ground

Here's a song of a friendship to last all of time
Built on the sure foundation
Given as a sign
The life that you give to it
Can never be brought down
For no matter what may come your way
You know who to stand upon.....

I say I love you
From my heart to yours
I say I'll pray for you
To help you through the storms
I say I will be there
When you're feeling down
Cause I remember all the times you were with me on that ground

And I say to you stand tall for you are beautiful
And I say to you stay pure it will keep your soul secure
And I'll pray for you always, in knowing Jesus cures
No matter what this life will bring
Your loveliness endures
Yes, no matter....what....this life will bring
Your loveliness endures

Tears were everywhere, and even those people at the surrounding tables applauded them!
A special moment for my wife provided by two wonderful people in our life.....

If you liked the song let Christina and Jeff know about it by emailing them at:
Tinifer@yahoo.com

For those of you who like Christian music, Christina sings lead and back-up vocals on
a CD called "Be Exalted" that can be found at the following web site:
 Wellspring Worship
http://www.wellspringworship.com/

This is not a push for you to buy her CD as she "donated" her singing free of charge
to help out a friend who was putting together the album. (Just thought I would add
that, as the proud brother!)

REQUEST:

Dear Michael

Would you be so kind as to post a prayer request for me. It is for the
MD of the company I work for, Mr John Pitout. He was recently
diagnosed with liver cancer and underwent a serious operation last week
which resulted in the removal of half his liver and his colon. He is
in a serious but stable condition but we don't foresee him returning to
work again this year. Every little prayer would help for his recovery.

Many thanks for your wonderful stories and bits 'n pieces.

Warm Regards

Yvette de Jager

UPDATE:

From: cybercatz2@earthlink.net (Loyd & Janet Wood Jr.) on their new baby.

We would like to thank you all once again for keeping us in your prayers,
they have helped us more than you will ever know.

We do have a few updates on the situation. First of all, we have
some good news. What the doctor thought was water around the heart turned out to
be nothing, the cardiologist said he could find on water around the heart at all,
thank God for that answer to prayer...smiles

The additional news is that the cardiologist did seem to find a hole in the heart,
on the wall that separates the two flows of blood in the heart, he also suspects that
one of the main arteries that is responsible for taking the blood to the lungs is
rather narrowed, which means, the lungs would suffer the lack of some blood. In both
cases he assured us that they can administer medicine after birth to make the heart
function the way it needs to, until surgery can be performed. So we are now looking
at a couple of common heart defects along with what they believe to be a diaphramic
hernia. The doctors still have not yet determined that there is definitely a
diaphramic hernia, but they are pretty sure, this also is a very successful
surgical procedure. The main concern still is whether or not the lungs will
have enough room to develop, everything is centered around that. We do feel
more confident though, because the doctors said that millions of these surgeries
are performed all the time and the succuss rate is very well. Little Sarah is
being very active though, and kicking mommie every night...smiles Please keep
praying for us, for we do still have our down times, when fear takes over and
we cringe at the thought of not having little Sarah around, but we have a good
break down cry and pray, and things seem to get brighter for a while. We still
have not gotten the results back from the amino senthis, we should hopefully get
them on Monday. We know that we have a long road ahead of us yet, and definitely
need God's strength to get us through. You all have been so kind, and we want to
thank you again. We will keep you updated on the situation. May God bless you all
tons...smiles

Love,
Loyd & Janet
