Mama "Naomi"

Mother, Mom, Mum, Mommy, these all give image to a person in our lives.
Short, tall, fat, thin, cozy, rigid, cool, fun loving, peaceful, angry,
those who sing to their children, those who dare not. We each have a
picture, forever etched in our souls, of the one we call by these
names. These women have shaped and formed who we are today...
My children call me Mama. I love it! It is the first name most
children tag on to that female face that gives care to them. I don't
suppose they will call me that forever, but I hope the feelings that go
with that name will stay with us all throughout this life. Whether it
is screamed in pain, shouted in laughter, whispered in fear or said
plainly, Mama is my name. I wear it proudly!
But this is not about me. This is about my Mama: Mama Naomi.
Nine years ago this past weekend I met her. She was a beautiful woman
with a few twists I did not expect.
I have called her Mom for years now. She has brought a meaning to the
word that I thought God would not grant me in this life. But, God is
good! She never sang to me or put my hair in pony tails. She didn't
potty train me or take me to piano lessons, but she gave me something
much bigger..... Her love and in turn, her heart.
She has loved me when I was unlovable. She has held me when I was
un-holdable. She has taken on a job that she didn't have to take. She
has become my Mama.
She is intelligent and wise beyond my understanding. At fifty one she
is as beautiful as the pictures of her younger days that look at me from
my refrigerator door. She is creative and talented. She is precious
and wonderful, peaceful and loving. She is brave and hopeful and she
has a heart bigger than any I have ever seen. Her name is not Naomi,
but her God is my God, her people my people. I know she will be there
for me all the days of my life.
There are so many things she has invested in our lives. She has been
there at the beginning of all our children's lives. She has hugged and
kissed and prayed. She has listened and opened her heart, her home and
her life.
When I pray for my kids each day I ask God to help me be a good Mom, the
kind of mom each of them needs. But, I also pray something else. I ask
the Lord that if my children should choose to marry that He will grant
each and everyone of them their own, Mama Naomi. To mine, I say, Thank
you! I love you!

My husband and I have been trying to have any children for a long, long
time. The doctor now tells us that this won't happen unless we go the In
Vitro route ("test-tube baby"/Inter-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection:
scary-sounding procedures which cost a fortune and which insurance *does*
*not*, apparently, cover.
Our medical conditions causing infertility have the following names:
incompetent uterus (me) and very low sperm count plus retrograde ejaculation
(him). Also, I am almost 38 (Andrew is almost 49), so the longer that
nothing happens, the more and more likely it gets that nothing can *ever*
happen.
Please pray for us. Do you know other e-mail prayer-lists we can get on?

I have a prayer request for my two brothers in law.One brother has
diagnosed with the disease called "MOTOR NEURONE DESEASE-MND" and the
doctors told him that he only have two or five years to live. This
brother has more responsibilities towards God`s work.He is
Pastor,President of the Christian Organization called:Christians For
Truth -CFT and a Manager of the Christian Radio.
