I thought it was time to laugh today we have a story from Roger
Dean Kiser, Sr. that shows a whole different side of the author than we
are used to...  After all that Roger has been through in his life, I am glad
that he still has his sense of humor!
Have a great week everyone and thank you for being a part of SFTH!

By Roger Dean Kiser, Sr.

"I'm to sexy for my shirt", bellowed out the words to the song from the
stereo, as I pranced around the living-room vacuuming the floor before
the wife got home from work this evening.

"To sexy for my" this and "to sexy for my" that went the tune as I sang
along, continuing to vacuum-dance my way into the bedroom.
Just as the music was about to end I looked up into the dressing room
mirror, looked at my 55 year old bald-headed self in the large
reflection. "Darn, that's a big old belly you got there boy." I thought
to myself, as I stood there staring in amazement. "TOOOOOO SEXXXXXY"
went the song as the tone abruptly ended.

I was a bit saddened by what I was seeing in the mirror. A little bit
disappointed by the way that I have let my body go down hill the last
few years. I reached over and put my shirt on and continued to vacuum
the floor at a little slower pace than before.

"I don't think that I have ever been a very sexy fellow" I silently said
to myself. "But I do know that during my lifetime I have always been
blessed to know women who thought that I was sexy because I was always
respectful, kind and courteous."

I reached over and turned off the vacuum, took off my shirt and walked
back over to the stereo. I turned up the volume several notches and
started the song once again.

"I'M TO SEXY FOR MY SHIRT" screamed the words to the song as my tired
wife walked in the door from work. "Give me a kiss Mr. Sexy" said my
wife, as she rolled her eyes into the back of her head. I kissed her and
she smiled.

We ate supper and then we went right to sleep because we were really
tired. I guess you never lose being sexy when you got what it really

Dear Michael,
I just read your Bathtub story! Praise the Lord that we have finally listened to the voice that says, "If you died tomorrow, would you be thrilled that the kitchen was spotless, or would you be happy that you wrestled with your children on the lawn while the dishes waited." It is hard, but I am becoming better.  Thank you for a nice reminder.  Because I was beginning to get off the path.
Also, I wanted to let you know that I LOVE your thoughts of the day.  They really edify me.  You are doing such a good job touching people.
Keep up the good work and have a blessed week!

Thought For The Day:

"He who provides for this life, but takes no care for eternity, is wise for a
moment, but a fool forever." --Tillotson

Verse for the Day:

"What is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose
his own soul?  Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"
Matthew 16:26

Kid's Thought For The Day:

"It's a lot harder to laugh when you're by yourself."

Parent's Thought For The Day

"When I was a girl I only had two friends, and they were imaginary.
And they would only play with each other." (Rita Rudner)

Coach's Thought For The Day

"It is far more important that a man shall play something himself, even
if he plays it badly, that that he shall go with hundreds of companions to
see someone else play well." --Theodore Roosevelt

Deep Thought For The Day:

Sometimes when people sing ?Take Me Out To The Ballgame? I feel like
yelling "Hey you big old ball of goof, you're already here!"

To all of those who prayed for Doug-  I have wonderful news!  He is off the ventilator and off dialysis!  He gets a little stronger each day, and his spirits are good.  Thank you so much for all the prayers!  God bless you.

Prayer is requested for  Betty Cress.

Her diagnosis is a fast, rapid growing cancer which has given her a very
few days left of life.  The request -- immediate, total healing, or a quick, easy transition. Thanx.

"I thought of you first after my family sat down to watch the video we gave
them. They loved it, to say the least!  Within thirty seconds my mom was
crying and my dad did too.  They said it was the best Christmas gift we
could have given them!!  You did such a beautiful job!  They were so
surprised and so touched---they really, really, really loved it.  Thanks
for helping to make it so special to us all.  My mom mentioned how
the songs were perfect for the video too!  Thanks again!"
